Having experienced a chronic health condition as well as cancer, I am acutely aware that there is more to health and healing than symptom palliation, and that a holistic, comprehensive, preventative approach to health is what will help us thrive as individuals and as a society.

It is a primary-care model that uses traditional healing practices combined with modern medical knowledge to investigate for the root cause(s) of disease, remove obstacles to health, educate about prevention, and empower individuals to maximize wellness and vitality.
It approaches health with a comprehensive and holistic view, where the body is viewed as a unified whole; one that values mental, emotional, and spiritual health as much as physical. With a focus on the fundamental pillars of health and individualized patient care, knowing that each person has unique goals, risk factors, complaints, and values, it is a model for healthcare that helps you to become the best you.
Treatment modalities can include Traditional Asian Medicine and acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutritional and lifestyle consulting, nutraceuticals, and homeopathy. With additional training, many NDs in Ontario can also offer menopausal hormone therapy (MHT/HRT) and Naturopathic Intravenous Infusion Therapy (IVIT).
Naturopathic Doctors play an integral role in modern healthcare - safely offering the complimentary and alternative approach that people are increasingly seeking.
I am incredibly grateful for and proud of our Canadian allopathic healthcare system - it saves, and makes meaningful impact on, countless lives everyday. However, the current model is one that cannot adequately support disease prevention, optimal chronic disease management, optimal nutrition, and wellness.
I am inspired by the direction that future healthcare models are going, which will see truly integrative healthcare models being more commonplace. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I am honoured to be a part of a patient's journey to health, providing integrative, adjunctive treatments alongside other medical care.
